The Parable of the Jewel in the Robe (Chapter 8)

A poor man meets a close friend and is invited to his house, where he was treated to good food and wine. He becomes drunk and falls asleep. When he is asleep, his wealthy friend sews a priceless jewel into the lining of his robe. The poor man, who had no idea he had been given a jewel, resumes his wandering life of poverty. When the two friends meet each other by chance, the wealthy friend is surprised to learn that his friend is still poor, revealing to him that he had been carrying a jewel inside his robe all this time.
